A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a given mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise said, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the exact same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial if you run some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
You’ll be able to create a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty in case you have a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet exceptionally simple to work with, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you’ll see a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking on it again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all option can be activated without any difficulty in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domains hosted in the account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will see a small-size symbol conveniently situated right next to each one of them. With just one single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the context menu that will show up. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
